Mission Statement

The Montgomery Chamber of Commerce promotes a united community by working to create and sustain a quality business and environment for the benefit of all. We work closely with the Montgomery Economic Development Corporation whose main concern is to bring new businesses into town and to keep our current businesses in town. The Chamber has joined as an executive member so we will have a vote in decision making with the MEDC.

One of the main reasons people join the Chamber is for more networking opportunities. Many of our programs (monthly luncheons, annual dinner, golf outing, Montgomery Fest Business Booth, Oktoberfest and the Tree Lighting Ceremony) offer you that Opportunity. We encourage networking and fully promote it. The Chamber receives inquiries asking for business referrals. Our policy is to refer only our members.

Advantages

Every Chamber business is listed on the Chamber's website. Your participation in sponsored events and publications gives you many chances to promote your business through advertising and publicity opportunities. The more you participate, you will gain the confidence and recognition of other local business owners.

Networking

Monthly luncheons provide you with the opportunity to meet other business contacts in an informal setting. Grand openings, ribbon cuttings, after hour events, and leads group meetings are an effective way of expanding our membership network. The Chamber also supports Business and School issues.

Leads Group

Our Leads Group is a group consisting on non-competing businesses. These business minded people meet every Tuesday morning to exchange business leads and referrals. There is only one spot available for each particular type of business. Therefore members are not competing for business from each other. They are hoping to gain business from each other.
